Hamas Fires Rockets Into Civilian Areas
President Donald Trump’s special envoy for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, Jason Greenblatt, said Hamas had failed the Palestinians.
“Reprehensible – mortars fired from Gaza at a kindergarten and community in Israel. Hamas has failed – all it can offer is terror.”

Nickolay Mladenov, the UN's special coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, tweeted that he is "deeply concerned by today's rockets fired by Palestinian militants towards Southern Israel, one of which hit close to a kindergarten." He went on to say, "Such actions undermine efforts to improve the situation in Gaza." While no one was killed in the attack, many of the buildings in the Gaza strip lost power after an errant rocket damaged electrical facilities that provide power to the strip.
Emanuele Giaufret, the European Union's ambassador to Israel tweeted, "I know the resilience of communities in Southern Israel but indiscriminate attacks are totally unacceptable and to be condemned unreservedly."
